Southampton Boat Show 2008 - the sun keeps shining
The promised Indian Summer is certainly blessing Southampton at the moment as the sun keeps shining, the visitors keep coming and the Fizz keeps flowing on Boatshed's stand at the PSP Southampton Boat Show - C53.
Thursday's Fizz @ Five event was hosted by the guys from Castle Marinas who had a super time, as did their invited guests, and certainly helped to keep the party going. Castle Marinas own and run Royal Clarence Marina where Boatshed's HQ is situated so it seemed fitting that, as Neil said, "We invited the team to our on-site 'pub' and Boatshed bought all the drinks!" Castle Marinas
Today also sees the arrival of some Boatshed VIPs who were lucky enough to bag their days out in events run over the summer. Check back here for photographs of them enjoying (hopefully!) their time at the boat show.
Along with the hundreds of boats on display, the parts, the engines, the teak oil and the electronics, the Southampton Boat Show also has a great range of clothing for on and off the water. The Boatshed Babes (Helen and Alex) were called into service to help model for Helly Hansen at their RNLI Seminar on dressing correctly for the conditions. If you can, it is worth getting along to the Holiday Inn throughout the day to listen to these free, interesting and topical seminars on topics ranging from safety to engines.
Boatshed's Fizz @ Five continues to be as popular as ever and as the finishing line is in sight (Sunday evening) it looks like we are on track to beat the record number of bottles opened and consumed by our guests. Come and help us achieve this - we never want to take unopened Boatshed Fizz @ Five bottles home! Every night from 5pm on our stand - C53.
